Sierra Leone international prolific defender Raphael Koroma has landed in Freetown to boost FC Johansen’s league campaign. After a spell in central Asia, the defensive talisman has returned back to his former club FC Johansen, to help them in their league season campaigns.

Raphael played his professional football career with FC Johansen in Sierra Leone, where he earned several call-ups to the Sierra Leone National Team (Leone Stars). In 2020, Raphael left Johansen to join FC Sucelia in Moldova, before joining Kazakhstan’s top-tier side, Turan FC in 2022.

The defender is back home to help his former club (FC Johansen) as a free agent, as Johansen looks forward to making a few inclusions in their current squad in a bid to return back to winning ways in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League. Johansen currently sit at 15th position with 15 points after 15 matches.

Raphael’s return is expected to boost the club’s worst league run, by returning to winning ways in the second rounds of the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League season.
