The Vertex Media in partnership with key radio stations and nightclubs across Sierra Leone, has researched and compiled the SALONE TOP 50 HIT SONGS FOR 2018. The chart measures the popularity, reach and airplay of the tons of Sierra Leonean songs in 2018. The chart DOES NOT take into cognisance the year the songs were released, it only looked into the PLAYING TIME each song received in 2018.

Few selected radio stations and nightclubs were given Playlist Forms to list their Top 50 Hit Songs for 2018. This process was backed up by the independent researchers of Vertex Media and key DJs and Music Experts in Sierra Leone. After the collation of the various lists, the songs are listed according the MARKS SCORED. That is, the 50 songs with the highest points make it to the final list.

The Top 10 Songs (BIG MUZIC) on the list will be awarded with a Certificate by Vertex Media.

Meanwhile, the company will start producing and publishing the Monthly Salone Music Top 10 this January. The January monthly music chart will be published on the first week in February. This is the first time Sierra Leone is having an Official Music Chart Company.
