Okocha has been a secret admirer of the great work of Madam Isha Johansen, and he has been paying keen interest in her club, FC Johansen.

In his message, Okocha wishes the team a happy 20th anniversary and inspires the player to promote to the top flight league, the SL Premier League. He further promised to possibly visit the team in Sierra Leone and celebrate with them when they get promoted by the end of the season.

Coincidentally, there are several players in the past and current FC Johansen squad who admire Jay Jay Okocha and wish to be like him. They are inspired by his successes in the game.

FC Johansen is 20 years old since it was established in 2004 by the current FIFA and CAF Executive Committee Member Madam Isha Johansen as a youth football team for displaced kids from the civil war in Sierra Leone. FC Johansen participated and won several youth tournaments in Europe, defeating the youth teams of Liverpool and Real Madrid, etc.

The team played the Division One League in Sierra Leone for the first time in 2011 and was promoted to the Sierra Leone Premier League the same year. Johansen debuted in the Sierra Leone Premier League in 2012 and also made their first appearance in a CAF competition in 2013, playing Baracks Young Controller FC of Liberia in the CAF Confederation Cup.
