1. AN INVESTMENT OF 180 MILLION DOLLARS
The globally renowned clean energy company Infinitum Energy Group (iEg) will invest a whopping $180 million in the Sierra Leone economy to transform wastes to energy, thereby providing more than 30 megawatts of electricity to Freetown and its environs.
The Government of Sierra Leone has continuously called for foreign direct investments into economic projects that seek to improve on the well-being of Sierra Leoneans – in the energy sector, agricultural sector, education, and several other sectors. Infinitum Energy Group is one of those that heeded to this call by investing 180 million dollars into the Sierra Leonean energy sector.
When ratified by the Government of Sierra Leone, Infinitum Energy Group will inject foreign cash into the struggling economy, which will also help to stabilise the declining Leones against the United States dollars. This investment will open more opportunities for Sierra Leonean businesses in many ways, as several SMEs will be incorporated into the company’s wing of wastes collection in the City of Freetown and its environs.
