SLWPL: As the maiden female league kick-start on Saturday, here are the 12 participating clubs

The maiden edition of the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League will get underway tomorrow Saturday 15th October 2022 at the Wusum Field in Makeni City. Mena Queens of Makeni will host visitors Kahunla Queens from Kenema at 1:30pm.

The opening ceremony will be graced by His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and his wife the First Lady, Fatima Jabbie Bio, as Government’s support towards the league is highly assured.

This is the first Female National Football League in the country, under the current leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), head Thomas Daddy Brima.

Few months ago, the SLFA appointed a Women’s Premier League Board, headed by media personality Mrs. Asmaa James.

Here are the 12 participating teams/clubs:

5. Koya Queens FC

7. Mena Queens FC
