Ambassador Mohamed Basiru Sanusi popularly known as Ambassador Bash has continued to stand out as a leading broadcaster (radio and TV presenter), entertainment magnate and youth activist in Sierra Leone. In the year under review, he is currently the most outstanding and most recognized Sierra Leonean broadcaster and entertainment influencer out of Sierra Leone.

When one talks Bash, he talks professionalism. He is unrivaled in his field as a radio and TV presenter in Sierra Leone. Week in week out, galaxy of celebrities and young influential Sierra Leoneans are being hosted by Bash on his top radio and TV shows.

His gallantry in media practice continues to amaze the public.

As a radio and TV presenter, Basiru is a voice – a strong and far reaching voice that sells Sierra Leonean stories. He is the face and voice of MEDIA ONE CENTRE (Star Radio and TV).

Through his popular radio shows – The Star Good Morning Show and the Star Ent Extra, he has brought many young Sierra Leoneans he has brought young Sierra Leoneans to the limelight, both at home and in the diaspora.

His iconic TV shows, The Salone Talent Show and Youth Encounter are unmatched by any regular TV programmes in Sierra Leone. Prominent and outstanding young Sierra Leoneans continue to use his platforms to sell their brands and contents to the wider public.

His professional approach to work has earned him enormous influence and respect across Africa and beyond. He is the current Sierra Leone ambassador for the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), a member of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), member of the African Union Youth Division, among others.

As a socialite, Bash is revered senior member of the Circle of Knowledge in Sierra Leone (Circle-K), a leading youth organisation that been staging some of the most talked about entertainment events in the country. He is the founder and CEO of IAFRIKA-SL, a 360 degree media consulting, marketing and entertainment company in Sierra Leone.

Ambassador Bash has hosted top African superstars on his radio and TV shows. He was recently invited by Tiwa Savage’s team to witness her exclusive album (CELIA) listening party.

Another Nigerian singer Victor AD was also amazed by the professional work of Bash, he had to share one of Basiru’s videos on his Instagram status. He is also the contact person of another Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold, the list goes on and on.

Ambassador Bash has been a source of inspiration for many young Sierra Leonean youths. He has continuously been releasing awareness videos and audios on social media to guide and advice his young compatriots as events unfold in the country. A strong youth activist and a campaigner for growth in the creative industries in Sierra Leone.

On several occasions, Bash has used his wide experience in African entertainment to guide entertainers, the government and the private sector on the global approach and stance on entertainment as a key driver for economic growth, youth employment, boosting of tourism, among others.

Bash possesses a humble persona with calm demeanor, the reason for his absolute dominance in the media and entertainment landscape in his decade long career. Ambassador Bash is an upright man with kind heart. Sierra Leone surely has good breeds, and Bash is a classic example.
