Orange Money and Skye Bank launch the ‘Bank To Wallet’ service

Sierra Leone’s biggest and leading mobile mobile service provider, Orange Money, in partnership with Skye Bank, has unveiled the ‘Bank-To-Wallet’ digital banking services. The ceremony was held Wednesday morning at the Orange Money head office at Hill Station in Freetown.

The partnership between Orange Money and Skye Bank is geared towards ‘harnessing financial inclusion and improving customer satisfaction in digital banking or financial services.

The Executive Director of Skye Bank SL Ltd, Akinremi Akinwale Oladipo, expressed his appreciation for establishing a synergy between his Bank and Orange Money, noting that – “This is a partnership that will go places.

Oladipo further stated the importance of this partnership… “We are partnering with Orange Money to form a formidable force in the digital banking world. It is important for financial inclusion and making banking services simple, safe, and convenient for our customers.”

David Mansaray, CEO Orange Money, also reiterated the importance of the partnership with Skye Bank by ensuring customer satisfaction.

“We care about our customers, and we only exist because of our customers.”

He also mentioned the efforts his company has been making in integrating the financial sector into the mobile digital banking system.

“This has been a long journey in integrating the banking sector to our mobile money system. We have already integrated 8 banks into our mobile money (bank-to-wallet) system.”

“We are harnessing the aspect of financial inclusion in Sierra Leone. This is just the beginning. We have a lot of collaborations coming up between Orange Money and Skye Bank.

The Orange Money and Skye Bank’s ‘Bank-To-Wallet’ illustration was done through a PowerPoint presentation where the registration and activation processes were explained.

To use the Bank-To-Wallet service, the customer must have an Orange Money account and a Skye Bank account. Registration is absolutely free.

The first step is to dial #144#, select 6 (bank) and choose Skye Bank in no. 8, enter password (4 digits), and you will receive an activation key. The customer can then go to any Skye bank branch to complete the activation.
