FIFA’s Isha Johansen and Fatma Samoura jet into Nigeria to honour the Aisha Buhari Cup and the NFF Awards night

Fifa Council Member Isha Johansen and Fifa Secretary General Fatma Samoura jet into Nigeria to honour the maiden edition of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Football Tournament. The finals of this tourney will see a clash between two of the continent’s greatest female teams Nigeria’s Super Falcons and South Africa’s Banyana Banyana today September 21, 2021 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly Onikan Stadium, Lagos, Nigeria.

The FIFA duo was also present at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Awards in Lagos. Last night’s NFF awards was graced with high profile dignitaries from around the continent, where Samoura, Johansen, and other leading women in African and global football governance, were among special guests of honour invited to present prestigious awards for football excellence in Nigeria, and in particular the Aisha Buhari Female Football Tournament in support of Gender Empowerment.

Johansen and Samoura will grace the finals of the maiden Aisha Buhari Women’s Invitational Football Tournament as special guests of the NFF and the organizers.
