Sierra Leone’s leading telecommunications company, Orange Sierra Leone, has launched the ORANGE MONEY CARD for ease of payments and transactions. The introduction of the new card is part of the company’s drive to digitalise payments system, in addition to the existing Orange Money payment system.
CEO of Orange Money, David Mansaray, reiterated that “the card will ensure ease of doing business, especially in the aspect of payments for goods and services, or transfer.”
Mansaray said that Orange Sierra has been working towards “social and financial inclusion” for all. “We are leading the digital democratisation in Sierra Leone,” he added.
The new Orange Money payment card will accept cash in and cash out, with more secured features. According to David Mansaray, the card will reduce the risk of exposing your passwords to any merchants.
The Orange Money Card operates with scannable QR codes that help customers access their money anywhere and at any time.
Once the card is linked with the customer’s Orange Money account, transactions can then be done by him or on his behalf at ease.
The card can be obtained at a cost of NLe 10 from any Orange Money shop across the country.
