With Alie Sonta Kamara

The President of the Cricket Federation of Ivory Coast, Dosso Mekrokro, has rained immaculate praises on Francis Trevor Samura, the newly elected Chairman of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA), for his outstanding contribution in setting up structures that saw the francophone country become an Associate Member of the ICC.

The Ivorian Cricket President expressed this sentiment in an email sent to the Chairman today to congratulate him on assuming the highest seat at the SLCA.

Here is a verbatim reproduction of the email sent to Chairman Samura:

“It is with great pleasure that I have just learned that you have become the president of Cricket Federation in Sierra Leone.

To you, my heartfelt congratulations and good luck. I [want to] inform you that thanks to your support and advice.

The Ivorian Cricket Federation is [has been] recognized by the ICC since 28th July, 2021.
My fraternal greetings.”

Meanwhile, the ICC sent Chairman Trevor Samura to Ivory Coast in 2015 with instructions to help set up structures doing with legal, domestic, and development endeavors. He drafted a constitution for the francophone country that is line with ICC Affiliate member criteria.

Over and above this cross-border gain, the Chairman has been a center pillar to the robust governance structure of the SLCA in all tiers of consideration. This glory does not come as a surprise.
