HOS Spotlight: CEO Val’s visit and how the stars divulge the issue of ‘body shaming’

It’s Week 6 of the first edition of the House of Stars reality TV show. It has been a rollercoaster experience, jammed with drama, education, entertainment, breakups and makeups, and suspense.

The House of Stars show has given every viewer a reason to stay glued and witness every moment in the house. The stars too know what is at stake – all eyes are on the ball, the furnished three bedroom house, the car, the cash prize of Le 100,000, and many goodies.

A thematic aspect of the show is primarily to transform these stars into superstars, market their brands, and create a potential market for them to excel. Hence, ‘FAME IS BUSINESS‘ is a befitting concept of this show, making the biggest reality TV show in Sierra Leone and in the subregion.

Today, the stars divulged the issue of ‘body shaming’, a growing global social problem.

Body shaming has had adverse effects on individuals who felt attacked on their physical outlooks. This has negatively affected people from all walks of life, especially entertainers, who sometimes couldn’t explore their fullest potential. Body shaming can also result to lack of confidence and depression.

The amazing and elegantly dressed stars did justice to this topic in an educative presentation. They talked about its impact and the need to accept and embrace everyone’s physical indifferences as stars.

Another momentous highlight of the day was the surprising visit of the CEO of Kings Empire, Valentine Mak King, to the house. CEO Val’s visit was meant to reinvigorate the ‘mission and purpose’ of House of Stars with the stars. His lecture was emphatically on reminding them of the enormous opportunities the show is providing for them, including keeping an eye on the star prizes. Protecting their brands and those of their colleagues was also a focal point in his lecture.

His presence in the house brought some amount of sanity and redefinition of purpose among the stars. Many admitted to have deviated from their initial objectives and nearly got lost. All thanks for his visit, CEO Val was able to reawaken them and guide them through to become better persons they crave for.
