Former SLFA Boss, current FIFA Council Member and CAF Executive Member, Isha Johansen has sent her New Year’s message to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the general football family.
In her message, Madam Johansen earmarked Sierra Leone’s qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations “as the nation’s biggest achievement in 2021,” and therefore calls for unity for the betterment of the game.

It is at this time of year when we should all reflect on the past and reconsider the future, let go of disputes and political rivalries, for football will never thrive under these pressures.”
The global football icon and trailblazer wishes Sierra Leone and Leone Stars well in the New Year, 2022, a year Fifa will be staging the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, of which Madam Johansen as FIFA Council Member and other top global football authorities will play crucial roles for its successful implementation.
