NEA AWARD VOTING PANEL APPROVES 64 CATEGORIES FOR THE 5TH NEA CEREMONY

The National Entertainment Award Voting Panel (NAVoP) – Technical Committee has approved a total of 64 Categories for the 5th NEA awards ceremony slated for December 23rd, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Freetown.

Members of the NAVoP made their inputs, deliberations and recommendations through emails, WhatsApp forum discussions and through direct personal contacts. This open process is one of the many reforms the LAKE Productions Company has introduced in order to ensure that the process is owned by the industry professionals.

This year’s ceremony will award outstanding Sierra Leoneans in the Lifetime Achievement Awards and the Special Recognition Awards categories as follows:

MICHAEL KARGBO (Film)
MOHAMED “K-MAN” SACCOH (MUSIC)
RAYMOND FINNEY (Cinematography)
DESMOND BENYA (Stand-up Comedy)

A total of 18 new categories were added for this year’s National Entertainment Awards.
