As the French National Team (Les Bleus) reaches the finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Fifa Council Member Isha Johansen congratulates the President of France – Emmanuel Macron and French Football Federation President – Noel le Graet on France’s exciting win over Morocco in the semifinals on Thursday, a win that take France straight to the World Cup finals, to be played on December 18 against Argentina.

The former SLFA President, Isha Johansen also praises the, resilience, determination and discipline of the Morrocco National Team, who became the first African nation to play the Fifa World Cup semifinals, following their outstanding performances against strong footballing nations.

“Morocco’s rise to prominence and success was not built yesterday or a month ago, or a year ago. This Revelation of a national team took several years of dedicated and sincere work ethics, discipline and the preservation of integrity in the beautiful game.“
