Dancehall artist QueenHajj joins elite entertainers with a Masters degree over the weekend

A Sierra Leonean female dancehall artist breaks new grounds by adding a Masters degree to her academic archive. Neneh Sesay, known by her stage name as QueenHajj, graduated with a Masters degree in Community Development Studies over the weekend from Njala University, where she studied Sociology in her first degree a few years ago.

Queenhajj’s latest academic pursuit has placed her among the elite Sierra Leonean musicians who have had an incredible music career.

Known as ‘De Queen Dem Idol‘, Queen Hajj has been a top-charting artist with a couple of hit songs under her belt.

As one of the best female dancehall artists, Queenhajj has done a couple of hit songs over a decade in her music career. She started her music career over 10 years ago with a music group called City Queens, where they released their first song in collaboration with another group called Jungle Leaders. The song was titled ‘Any Tin You Want,’ which became a hit across the country and beyond.

As a solo artist, Queenhajj has thrived and earned a reputation for herself. In 2009, she released ‘Return Gee Me Luv’ produced by LP Studio, ‘Independent Gal’ produced by Tetteh of Cartthouse in 2011, ‘So Tin Go’ produced by Wilbert Music in 2016 and her 2019 dancehall banger titled ‘Dance’ produced by Tunex Beatz, plus several other hit singles.
