Sensational Sierra Leonean dancehall crooner, Jacob Evangelista aka The Therapist has received a major nomination from Nigeria’s premium music award, The Headies, under the international category for BEST WEST AFRICAN ARTISTE OF THE YEAR.
The Therapist is up against other top West African counterparts for this coveted award category. He is nominated along with Gyakie, Black Sherif, and Camidoh, all from Ghana.
This is The Therapist’s second major international nomination, after the Ghana Music Awards (GMA) nomination in their previous edition. Therapist got his breakthrough after the release of mega hit song ‘NACK‘ in 2022 under Cribs International record label.
He has been one of Sierra Leone’s biggest music exports in the past one year, earning him a major award nomination again in the 2023 HEADIES AWARDS in Nigeria.
