Detained Sierra Leonean rapper Alhaji Amadu Bah, better known as Boss LAJ has been rushed to the Connaught Hospital in Freetown on Tuesday October 18th, after being referred by the 34 Military Hospital at Wilberforce, Freetown.

The ill-looking Boss LAJ collapsed in court on Monday afternoon while standing trial for alleged robbery with violence, which forced Justice Adrian Fischer to order the Prison Officers to provide him with immediate medical attention. He was then rushed to the 34 Military Hospital where he spent the night, but referred to the Connaught Hospital this morning for better medical attention, due to the inefficient or lack of better medical equipment.

His family wanted to take him to a private hospital, but it was declined.

The rapper has been in detention since June 12 this year, for alleged robbery with violence. His dreadlocks was shaved. He has been struggling with his health lately, to the point that the Medical Officer of the Correctional Centre had to release a medical report to the court for their attention.

LAJ’s lawyers applied for bail on the grounds of his deteriorating health condition, unfortunately, that has not been granted by Justice Adrian Fischer. The rapper has developed a swollen tumor on his lower stomach and could barely stand upright in court on Monday afternoon.

His family, fans and friends were in tears when he collapsed and being rushed out by the officers as ordered by the court. He was denied bail and the matter adjourned to October 21st.

His family and friends are still concerned about his worsening health condition, amidst the alleged human rights violations he has suffered in detention for the past 4 months.
