Many people regard LAJ as a down-to-earth celebrity who has accommodated and uplifted many of his colleagues when they were down. He would even prepare lunch for them and give them the spotlight, among other things.

Boss LA is a strong advocate, right activist who has been there for his colleagues. He has also engaged young people on nonviolent activities, and led awareness campaigns on national issues, including COVID-19 awareness campaigns.

On the fateful day he was nabbed by the police for allegation of robbery with violence, LAJ was in the company of his friends and colleagues in the industry, including Daddy Ish and Arkman. None of them have ever explained the true story behind LAJ’s arrest, nor did they stand in solidarity with the RFM CEO.

His arrest attracted public interest, especially when his human rights were violated while in detention at Benghazi, where his dreadlocks were forcefully shaved. There was a public outcry, from fans, entertainers, and family, but none from his close friends who witnessed what happened on the day he was arrested.

Some family members and friends were also arrested, tried, and jailed for allegedly checking on him while in police detention.

Boss LA still believes that the public has not been told the true story after one year behind bars, from the people (his friends) who witnessed the incidents on June 12, 2023.
