CHME unveils 4 newly signed artists, with signing packages worth over Le200 Million for each artist

New and budding Sierra Leone music label Chocolate House Multimedia Entertainment (CHME) has raised the bar and set a new pace for the music industry. On Saturday 12th September 2020, CHME unveiled it newly signed artists at Tees Mall, Wilkinson Road in Freetown, with a signing fee/package of over Le200 Million and a car for each of the four artists. The money will be used to provide welfare support for the artists, including paying for apartments, music audio and video production, medical facilities, fuel, branding, etc.

This took place in the presence of key music personalities, the media, DJs, fans. It is an investment totalling over Le 1Billion by a diaspora Sierra Leonean Starling Diamond.

Entertainment and Sports Journalist, Joseph Sherrie Jida Kizz Kamara aka Jida Kizz is the Manager of CHME. Addressing the audience, Jida drew reference to his long standing experience in entertainment, including Managing couple of artists like Shadow Boxxer, Kracktwist N Samza, and more at WAF ENT. He is therefore familiar with the challenges faced by entertainers. Jida promised that his reign at CHME will be an example to be followed by many other music labels in the country, as he is set to make a difference with huge impacts.

Prezo Colabo, DJ Kallox, Foyoh and many others present believed it was the biggest signing packages ever witnessed in the industry.

The newly signed artists have been around music for some time now, ranging from different places of Sierra Leone. They include
SISSY MAN (an award winning artist from Bo City), DIKIE BOY (from Njala University), KING DEZ, and DANKAN (signed as an artist and a producer)

Meanwhile, the CHME management still reserves another signing package and a car for a female artist who will join the four male artists. The search for the lucky female artist is ongoing.

A signing fee of Le15 Million for the label’s personal DJ was also announced, a similar package for a blogger, but they are yet to be identified by the label.

The signing of the contracts by the four artists climaxed the event at Tees Mall in Freetown.
