Humu Osainatu Abiodun Koroma is a United States based Sierra Leonean entrepreneur, entertainer, philanthropist, and socialite. She is a mother, a wife, and the CEO of Afro Media Network and Afro Company, all operational in Sierra Leone and in the United States.

Humu Osainatu Abiodun Koroma was born in Sierra Leone in July 1984, lived and went to school in Freetown. Humu attended the St. Joseph Primary School and got admitted to the Annie Walsh Memorial Secondary School as one of the best performing pupils in the entrance exams.

After her high school, Humu went to live in Nigeria but later returned to Sierra Leone before her dad took her to Germany. She lived in Germany for over ten years, where she completed school and attained her first bachelor’s degree in ‘Business Management‘. Humu fluently speaks the German language due to her decade-long stay in Germany.

She started her humanitarian work when she was a young girl in Germany, donating to the Cancer Centre on a monthly basis. A gesture she keeps practising to date, supporting the less privileged in society.

Humu is a multifaceted and all-around entertainer who has starred in pageantry/modelling, dancing, and singing while growing up.

She got married and moved to the United States with her husband until they later separated. After their divorce, Humu started a new job as a flight attendant at Ryanair in 2007 and later joined Lufthansa as a supervisor two years later – and served the U.S. military for five years, afterwards, and joined Walmart as a Sitting Manager in 2013.

Fast forward, she also earned an Associate Degree in Health Care Management in the United States, which adds her wealthy academic background.

As a single mom, motherhood stopped her from doing many other things at the moment. She has a beautiful daughter named Amaris Koroma, who served as an inspiration to her.

In 2019, Humu founded her own online show – talking about family, God, and change on her Facebook page, where she was spotted and invited to work at Sierra Cast TV, an online TV platform. She worked there from October 2019 to May 2020, and she quitted on personal terms and set up her own platform, known as Afro Media Network.

Launched in May 2020, Afro Media Network has introduced a series of online programs and has broadcast or distributed many Sierra Leonean contents to a wider audience. Humu has a dedicated team of young professionals at Afro Media Network, including Omar Korleone Koroma – a partner and digital engineer and owner of 232Connect.

On behalf of the CEO, the company has done several donations back home, supporting vulnerable women and children as part of its corporate social responsibilities.

From Afro Media Network as a digital platform, Humu has decided to take it further by establishing AFRO COMPANY, a conglomerate of many other businesses like the Afro Minimart, Afro Fresh Pure Drinking Water, Afro Shipping Agency, Afro Bus Service, Afro Rental Service, etc.

Humu is one of the Sierra Leonean diasporas contributing greatly to the development of the country, from different walks of life. Her passion for entertainment is topnotch, and it’s deeply entrenched in her.
