Producers’ Guild SL celebrated the African Child’s Day with pupils of UMC Primary School Ginger Hall, Freetown

To mark the African Child’s Day, the Producers’ Guild Sierra Leone celebrated this special day with pupils of the UMC Primary School Ginger Hall, Fatta Rahman Street, Off Kissy Road Freetown on June 16, 2022. This important event was spearheaded by key members of the Producers’ Guild, including executive members like St. Agnes, Sultan Keita and Emiley Manley; with top producers like Princess Jnap Sesay, Rosaline Sesay (Real Boss), Alimatu Lemakhan Sesay, Aminash Kabba, Adeyemi Lardner (Iron Master) and others.

The celebration took place at the school compound, which was fully attended by pupils and staff of the school, including guardians. The theme of the Producers’ Guild SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM was ‘IT’S OKAY TO DREAM ART’.

It attracted cultral displays from Dancers and Acrobat, while Poets and Motivational Speakers were also used by these filmmakers to deliver the message of arts to the pupils.

Special Guests in attendance were the President of the Film GuildDaramy Kabba and the President of Actors Guild Sierra Leone – Abdulai Saidu Kamara popularly known as Glamour Raider, who where there to support the brilliant initiative of the Producers’ Guild. While Alimatu Lemakhan and Sister Agnes were there representing the Producers’ Guild.

The best performing pupils of the school were presented with certificates and envelopes as a motivation for the academic performance. Beneficiaries were those who took the first positions in each class for the academic year. The Head Master of the school expressed his appreciation to the Producers’ Guild “for their selfless act and passion to inspire the children through arts.”

To climax the program, food and drinks provided by the Guild, were served to all pupils and staff present. The pupils were in total appreciation and excitement for the wonderful gesture of the filmmakers, to remember them in such an important day for children across Africa. Members of the Producers’ Guild have vowed to continue this initiative in future.
