Late Updates: FC Johansen Unveils New Umbro Kits and New Head Coach

At a ceremony held at Orange Head Office, Hill Station, Freetown, FC Johansen unveiled new Umbro kits to the public, on Wednesday 23rd February, 2022. The jerseys will be used by Johansen in their league season campaign.
The Johansen Umbro Kits came in 3 sets, White, Blue and Pink. Replicas (Supporters Jerseys) are also available for sale to the public for a cost of Le 200,000.

Meanwhile, the new Head Coach of FC Johansen Ibrahim Sillah was also unveiled.

The ceremony was graced by top football officials and personalities, and corporate houses.

The CEO of FC Johansen, Malik Pascal expresses delights over the partnership with Umbro and other corporate corporate houses, and looks forward to the club.

Founder and owner of FC Johansen, Madam Isha Johansen reiterates the values of the club, serving as a humanitarian venture, giving young and talented kids the platform to ‘chase their dreams’. This has been the mantra since it was founded nearly 20 years ago. The club have produced top quality players over the years, some of whom are now being sought after by European clubs, and elsewhere. These players were recruited into the club’s youth system at ages 8,9,10, &11 from the streets, just after the 11 years brutal civil war in Sierra Leone.

The Sierra Leone National Team (Leone Stars) Head Coach John Keister and many players are products of FC Johansen.

Madam Johansen noted that her club has had a long standing relationship with Orange Telecom, and hopes  to continue with one of the most reliance and biggest mobile companies in the country.

The club’s sponsorship partnership with Umbro makes FC Johansen the only Sierra Leonean with a standard contract with a reputable international company.

FC Johansen look forward to rejuvenate their drive towards developing youth football, and expose young talents to global opportunities.
