One of the world’s biggest sports clothing brands Umbro has on Friday 18th December 2020, announced a four year deal as the official kits sponsor for the Sierra Leone national Football teams. The UK based company made this announcement on its Twitter account –
On its website, Umbro further expresses delight over acquiring the West African nation, Sierra Leone becoming the 9th African nation to join Umbro.
“Umbro is pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).”
“Wearing the double diamond for the next four seasons, the Leone Stars become the ninth African nation to join our roster of clubs alongside the most recent addition, Federation of Uganda Football Association.”
Beginning in early 2021, we’ll provide the national team – including men’s and women’s senior as well as underage teams – with match kit, training wear, off field apparel and equipment.”

It’s however clear that the existing deal between the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA)and Mafro will come to an end this year. SLFA is expected to further update the public on the details of the deal.
