Salone Borbor Music (SBM) hosted a ‘Listening Party’ in Freetown

The management team of Salone Borbor Music (SBM) held its first LISTENING PARTY for the label’s sensational rapper and CEO of the SBM record label – Kamara popular known as Black Gold AK.

The Listening Party was held on his behalf at the Lamsat Complex in Kissy, Freetown, on the 21st March 2021. The rapper who is presently staying in the United States was unable to witness the event, but it was perfectly done by his management team in Freetown. The team was led by a renowned Sierra Leonean DJ – Ibrahim Kalokoh aka DJ Kallox and his U.S based promoter Adeline Sandy.

A cross section of music experts and promoters were present – including top artists like Pizzy, Artical Foyoh, etc, top DJs like DJ Lawva, DJ Henzo, Inspector Bah, K Flash, DJ Aelias, DJ Med Mans, Master Jaye, DJ Jesse, Vicky Dave, DJ Flexx and more. Also in attendance was the President of the Cassette Sellers Association Diddy Abu.

A total of five songs were played for the assessment of all present. They includes:

Proud Salone Borbor
Na You Get the Juice
Da Thing ft. Abizzy
It’s A Lie
Bayo Bayo
After proper assessment of the songs, ‘Proud Salone Borbor’, ‘Na You Get De Juice’ and ‘Da Thing’ featuring Abizzy were unanimously approved to go on promo.

All present were amazed by the incredible talent and craftsmanship of AK, his rap skills are second to none. His management informed this media that they will embark on intensive radio and online promotions, while working on the music videos fro the 3 selected songs.

U.S base promoter Adeline Sandy said she came across AK in 2014 in the United States and has ever since fallen in love with his music. She explained that Black Gold AK has recorded over 200 songs already.

One bedrock of AK’s breakthrough is DJ Kallox. He has been a very strong force behind the rapper success. Kallox was the driving force behind the success of AK’s first promo songs, like ‘Salone Borbor’, ‘Warn Dem’ and more.
