SLFA boosts PLB with 400 Million Leones ahead of league resumption

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has in a press release dated 11th February 2022 confirmed that the provision of Le 400 million to the Sierra Leone Premier League Board, to facilitate the resumption of the second rounds of the 2021/2022 league season. The league resumes today with Central Parade hosting second placed East End Lions at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.

SLFA BOOSTS PLB WITH LE 400,000,000 AS THE LEAGUE RESUMES

The Sierra Leone Football Association has provided a financial support of Four Hundred Million Leones (Le 400,000,000) to the Sierra Leone Premier League Board (SLPLB) ahead of the resumption of the Second Round of the League which is set to commence today Friday, February 11, 2022.

“The said amount is to boost the administrative running of the league as the PLB looks forward to receiving huge Government support and signing a lucrative sponsorship agreement with potential sponsors.”

“In another development, SLFA would like to bring to the notice of the Premier League Board, Clubs and the general public that players whose transfer processes are marred with disputes, for which complaints have been forwarded to the FA, are not eligible to participate in the league until such issues are addressed by the appropriate bodies within the Federation.”
