Top and outstanding radio DJ Samuel Leverse aka DJ Lawva has been unanimously elected unopposed as the first President of the recently revived Sierra Leone DJs Union (SLeDU). This crowning ceremony took place at the Karina Complex, Kenema City by members of the DJs fraternity in Sierra Leone.

This came after a press notice from the Independent Elections Committee of SLeDU informed the public DJ Lawva was the only candidate for the position of the President of the Union, who had met all the requirements as set out by the board, which was agreed upon by its membership.

The Radio Democracy DJ was therefore crowned as the substantive President of the nation’s DJs body in Kenema City on Saturday evening.

Part of the delegation includes prominent and outstanding DJs like DJ Kallox (founding member and first president of SLeDU) and a host of other DJs.

Lawva was elected alongside Ibrahim Koroma, popularly known as Prezo Koroma as the new Secretary General.
