Isha Johansen represents Fifa in Norway as NFF elects its first Female FA President – Lise Klavenes

The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has today (6th March 2022) elected its first female FA President, MADAM LISE KLAVENES at the Elective General Assembly in Oslo, Norway.

Isha Johansen representing Fifa, delivers a powerful speech today in Oslo at the Norwegian Football Federation Elective General Assembly – recognising and congratulating the Federation on the strong relationship both the NFF and Fifa have built over the years, especially on the issue of Human Rights. She went on to add that,
“The open and constructive dialogue between our two institutions over the course of last year is a great example of how football stakeholders can be united and work together to impact society positively and drive social change through the power of sports.”

Johansen speaking on behalf of President Infantino, Fifa General Secretary Fatma Samoura and Fifa administration, further stated that Fifa President Infantino’s latest vision, – “Making Football Truly Global”, is a strong commitment to promote and maximise football development at a global level which can only be achieved by increasing the level of close working relationships with member associations and stakeholders around the globe.

Johansen emphasized on the close collaboration between NFF and Fifa on the topic of Human Rights.

“Fifa has positively welcomed the interest of the whole Norwegian Football Community in such an important topic and would like to congratulate the NFF for its proactive engagement with the international football family.”

Johansen also paid tribute to the role Norway played in the formative years of the football club she founded in 2004 FC Johansen.

Johansen ended her speech with an emotional reminder of what she referred to as “Humanity Embracing Football” she spoke of how in her very early years of her football career, she used football to change and improve the lives of young underprivileged and displaced boys affected by the civil war. She made reference of the unprecedented role of Bodo Glimdt, the Norwegian Club currently premier league champions played in 2009. They agreed to send their U-17 side to Sierra Leone to participate in the African International Youth Tournament.
