‘A Call To Business’ awarded as Best Micro-Finance Institution in the Mano River Union

Sierra Leone’s leading micro-finance bank ‘A Call To Business (ACTB) has received an incredible awarded for Best Micro-finance Institution in the Mano River Union. The award was presented by the organizers of the Mano River Bankers Award at a ceremony held at the ACTB Headquarters in Brookfields, Freetown on Tuesday November 16.

In his opening statements, the Marketing and Deposit Mobilization Coordinator of ACTB – Rockslyn Findlay explains that ACTB Savings and Loans Limited is operational in 11 locations across 9 Districts in Sierra Leone.

He furthered that ACTB runs other line of businesses apart from its financial services operations.

“What we do primarily is to ensure that we change the lives of people and change their stories. A Call To Business organization is a conglomerate other businesses. We have other line of businesses that form A Call To Business. In as much as we are widely known as a micro finance and a banking institution, we run an orphanage that takes care of 30 kids as part of our corporate social responsibility. We also run other businesses like Chicken Town restaurant, KOLAT Bricks and the Frontline Poultry. So our work doesn’t stop at giving out loans as a micro finance institution, as you can see, we are too diverse in terms of our operations.”

Making his statement, the Coordinator of the Mano River Bankers Awards, Mr. Abdul Jusu Tucker describes ACTB as an institution that has grown from strength to strength, and has gain global recognition.

ACTB beats all other microfinance institutions in the Mano River Union nations of Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Cote D’voire.

Responding on behalf of his company, the CEO of A Call To Business bank Mr. David Alpha Kamara hail his institution for grabbing this most coveted award and also dedicates it to their amazing clients across the country.

“As I look back to where this institution started in the very early days to date, I want to say that this is victory for microfinance in Sierra Leone. I will lobe to dedicate this award to all microfinance clients and our dynamic staff at ACTB Sierra Leone.
