Afrikan Diamond donates food to over 100 poor Muslims in Freetown

Sierra Leone’s Us-based artiste and philanthropist, African Diamond has donated food to 110 Muslims at Kissy Road, in the Eastern part of Freetown on Tuesday 19th May 2020. He made this donation through his charity foundation called the ‘African Diamond Foundation’ to boost the vulnerable Muslim community in Freetown, with plans to extend this gesture to his home town of Moyamba, Southern Sierra Leone.

Donating food to Muslims during the month of Ramadan has become a normal practice for Diamond. This latest donation came at a time the country is struggling against the COVID-19 fight, which makes the livelihoods of many people very difficult. One of the recipient was very excited, saying that “the donation will help to cushion the effects of the difficulties they are facing.”

The donation was made on his behalf by his Manager Ibrahim Koroma, popularly known as Prezo Koroma, a renowned media personality and an entertainment promoter – regarded for his popular online TV show – ‘The Prezo Koroma Junction.’

Afrikan Diamond is a top Sierra Leonean reggae and dancehall artist who has done couple of great songs with top Sierra Leonean artistes both in Sierra Leone and in the diaspora. He recently released a song titled ‘Style It’ with Dallas B, he also ‘Front Runner’ and ‘Original’ with Eddie of 441 and couple of other songs with Step Q, Kays TheThreatson, and more. He was a nominee in the postponed 2020 New Skool Awards. Diamond is one of the fastest growing artists in Sierra Leone over the years.
