Draws for WAFU Women’s Tournament held in Freetown

The West African Football Union (WAFU) held it draws for its forthcoming Zone A tournament in Sierra Leone. The draws were held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Aberdeen, Freetown Sierra Leone on Saturday 8th January 2020. The tournament will be hosted in Sierra Leone between February 25th and March 7th 2020 in three major cities.

The tournament will feature 8 West African nations, drawn into two groups (Group A and Group B).

The draws were as follows:

GROUP A

The Gambia ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

Group A matches will be played in Bo City, in the Southern Region, Group B matches will be played in the Northern City of Makeni, and the Finals will be played at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown on the 7th March 2020.

Sierra Leone Female team, Sierra Queens

Host nation Sierra Leone is drawn in Group A against Cape Verde, Senegal and Guinea.
