The undisputed King of African rap, Kao Denero has been nominated in the second edition of the ‘256 Hip Hop Award’ as Best African Rapper of the Year, presented by The Konnected Foundation Inc & The Kulture 256. The award ceremony is slated for May 15th 2020 at the National Theatre Auditorium in Kampala, Uganda.

This came at a time the Sierra Leonean legendary rapper has hit the African waves with his recent mega hit track – KENYATTA. This track makes Africa and the world talking about Kao Denero and Sierra Leone music more than ever before, thus making him the most trending rapper on the African continent.

“Kao’s nomination is well deserved and overdue, considering his hard work for the rap culture in the African continent,” so opined a hip hop fan. The BLACKLEO Records CEO is currently working his forthcoming KISS THE THRONE album launch at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown on the 21st March 2020. His latest nomination is an indication of Sierra Leone’s breakthrough in african music, more especially rap music.
