From 2007 to 2008, he worked as a Resource Geologist for Public Works Mining Company, specifically bauxite mines in Mogbewmo. In this role, his responsibilities included geological mapping, resource estimation, and identifying potential areas for mining exploration. His expertise greatly contributed to the success of the company’s mining operations during his tenure.
Emmanuel’s commitment to his field and thirst for knowledge led him to a position as a Project Exploration Geologist at Makpele Mining Company in Zimi Makpele from 2009 to 2011. Here, he played a pivotal role in conducting field surveys, geological mapping, and data analysis to determine the feasibility of mining projects. His expertise in exploration geology proved instrumental in the company’s decision-making process and successful project execution.
Moreover, Emmanuel also gained invaluable experience working at African Minerals Limited in the Tonkolili iron ore mines. During his tenure, he held the position of a Mine/Grade Control Geologist, contributing to the company’s efforts in extracting and processing iron ore resources. His profound understanding of mining processes, coupled with his attention to detail and analytical skills, ensured the smooth operation of the mines.
Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Emmanuel undertook an MSc in Advanced Metallurgy from NUST MISIS in Moscow, Russia, due defend his thesis only in December, 2023. This program equipped him with comprehensive knowledge of the metallurgical industry, including advanced extraction techniques, mineral processing, and resource optimization.
Mr. Turay possesses extensive experience in the field of Data Science within the corporate sector. His journey began in 2020 as an Intern Data Scientist at Yandex in Moscow, Russia. Subsequently, he progressed in his career and assumed the role of Data Scientist at the Danish Startup Group, Denmark, in 2021. Currently, Mr. Turay holds the position of Geospatial Data Scientist at the National Minerals Agency, where he has been imparting his expertise since 2022.
