The movie Production Lema’s Diary is owned by Alimatu Farakhan Sesay – a writer, producer and an actress, and married with two boys. She portrays unique characters likened to those of any women of substance. Her passion for movies puts above her competitors. She is a hardworking young lady who knows what she wants.

‘Wild Emotions’ is her first movie as a producer and an actress, shot in 2016 and released in 2017. Amidst the enormous challenges in the Salone film industry, she kept her focus on her dream of awakening the Sierra Leone cinemas which has already been saturated by Ghanaian and Nigerian movies.

From the lessons learnt in her first movie, it is indeed quite different how her taste continues to show for great shows. From the story-line to her casting, to sober locations, costumes and posters. Looking at movies from Lema’s Diary for the past 3yrs now, one would love to ask… is she setting standards or making it hard for other producers in the sector with her cinematic prowess? Of course looking at the challenges in sales and distribution of movies in Sierra Leone, it takes courage for one to succeed. But she has beaten all odds to be at the top.
