Meet Alice Hannah Kanjia a young Sierra Leonean entrepreneur with interest in promoting and producing agricultural products in the Country.
She recently participated in the Housemate Salone SEASON 3 as housemate contestant number 5 and stood on a platform for Sustainable Commercial Agriculture.
During her stay in the the Housemate Salone SEASON 3, she used the platform to channel her hopes and aspirations in the agriculture sector, which she’s currently manifesting to the public.
His Excellency, President JM Bio has said in the past that the 4th industrial revolution is upon us and the time for Sierra Leone and its citizens to rise up to the occasion is now.
As for Alice, she is very ready to uphold and follow clarion call by the President for the eradication of hunger for Citizens and non-citizens of Sierra Leone.
She is currently investing economically into farming, with her agricultural projects ongoing in the north and southern regions of Sierra Leone.
Alice is also working on the expansion her agricultural projects in other parts of Sierra Leone, and she therefore seeks the necessary support to achieve this dream.
In Kambia District, on the 18th November 2022 Alice harvested one of her rice farms which produced a huge quantity of rice.
The harvesting brought together youths in the community who have been very instrumental in the planting, weeding and harvesting stages, creating short term employment and economic empowerment for those youths.
Her long term goal is to package and promote locally produced agricultural products to the locoal and international markets. This move will help in minimizing hunger and make her become a Master Farmer.
Alice is committed to collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture, and other MDA’s that have been promoting agriculture and youths who have been engaging in agriculture in Sierra Leone.
Her overall motive is to give support to the needy (vulnerable communities) in the country.
Alice will also love to provide support around advocacy for positive change and engagement of youths in agriculture.
