Vice President 1 of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Harold Nat-Johnson has welcomed the country’s Women’s U-20 team from Dakar, Senegal.

The team defeated their Guinean counterparts over the weekend 1-0, which has given them an edge as they prepare for the second leg in Liberia on 9th October.

Mr. Nat-Johnson congratulated everyone in the contingent for their landmark achievement.

He emphasised the need to improve on their performance and not to be complacent, noting that the 2nd leg will be tougher.

The VP1 reiterated that the SLFA President, Mr. Thomas Daddy Brima would have been at Aberdeen to welcome them, but he is bereaved.

“The players will get a 48-hour break to enable them interact with their families, and to also sort out their allowances”, he added.

The team will depart for Kenema city on Thursday for camping in order to avoid further distractions, and to settle other financial matters.
