The Electoral Appeals Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association have rejected the appeals of former Leone Stars player Mohamed Kallon, Western Rural District Chairman Kasho Holland-Cole and others, following the disqualification of their nominations for the SLFA Elective Congress slated for 26th and 27th February 2021. According to the Committee, after a week long deliberation on the subject matter, it has finally made its decision to validate the decision of the SLFA Electoral Committee by rejecting their nominations for failure to comply with the SLFA Statutes and the Electoral Codes. Therefore, their nominations are not in compliance with the provisions of Article 25 (3) of the Sierra Leone Football Association Statutes of 2019.

By a majority vote, the Independent Appeal Committee rejected the appeals after determining that Kallon and others failed to meet the statutory requirements.

DECISION ON APPEALS AGAINST THE SLFA ELECTORAL COMMITTEE’S DECISION

The SLFA Electoral Appeals Committee would like to inform the general public that after several deliberations it has successfully come to the end of hearings on the above mentioned appeals matter and has therefore made the following directions;

1. The Committee holds that the Western Area Urban Football Association IS NOT a valid
   member of the Sierra Leone Football Association as at the close of nomination at 5:00pm
   of the 8th January, 2021.
2. That Mighty Blackpool Football Club IS NOT a valid member of the Sierra Leone Football
   Association as at the close of nomination at 5:00pm of the 8th January, 2021.
3. That the Electoral Committee SHOULD NOT accept the nomination of the Association of
   Football Veterans relating to Mohamed Kallon.
4. That the Electoral Committee SHOULD NOT accept the nomination of the Western Area
   Rural District Football Association in relation to Kasho J. Holland-Cole.
5. That the Western Area Urban District Football Association is hereby fined the sum of One
   Million Leones (Le 1,000,000) for bringing the nomination process into disrepute.
6. That the Mighty Blackpool is hereby fine the sum of One Million Leones (Le 1,000,000)
   for bringing the nomination process into disrepute.
7. That the SLFA secretariat publish the list of regularised members not later than 11am of
   the 30th January, 2021.
8. That the following Secretariat Staff- Alusine Aiah Kabba and Mohamed Bowen
   Freeman- are here by restricted from participating in any electoral related activities.
