‘Poro’ by Sheik Kargbo: US based rapper promotes Sierra Leone’s culture in his latest rap song

The Renaissance Movement CEO, US based Sierra Leonean rapper Sheik Kargbo aka SK has promoted his native Sierra Leonean culture in his latest track titled ‘Poro’.

This amazing rapper takes us to the depth of Sierra Leonean culture, and fuses traditional instruments, languages, names, and culture in his latest ‘Poro’ track. He combines strings of local sounds in a highly pitched contemporary hip hop song.

Poro is a traditional society mostly associated and practiced by the Temne people of Sierra Leone. SK wasted no time in bringing this beautiful culture to light.

The song ‘Poro’ is part of his upcoming album named ‘HOMECOMING’. He recently released another classic song titled ‘Atuga Nor Be Kno’ from the same album.
