The event took place in Accra, Ghana on September 3rd, and featured filmmakers from across Africa.

Homi is a streaming service that streams premium African films and lifestyle content covering all major ethnic languages of over 40 countries in Africa. Our content library consists of award-wining movies, Homi originals, TV series, documentaries and lifestyle shows on African scenery, fashion, food, travelling and home design.

All the films being shown on the platform will be paid for by Homi TV. With this new platform, tons of African movies will now be shown to millions across the world, through Homi TV, both on TV and on the app.

The launch and watch party also provided an opportunity for filmmakers across Africa to network, partner and build strong connections among the various attendees.

Alimatu Farakhan Sesay of Lima’s Diary was a Guest Speaker at the Homi TV launch in Accra. She talked about the challenges Sierra Leonean filmmakers are in the industry – ranging from inadequate equipment to marketing, among others.

Her production company Lima’s Diary also partnered with the Homi TV crew, likewise Aminash Films.
