BREAKING NEWS! CAF confirmed Sierra Leone as host for CAF U-17 Male Championship slated for July 2020

The General Secretary of the Sierra Leone Football Association Chris Kamara has officially announced that the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has approved Sierra Leone as the host of the forthcoming CAF U-17 Male Championship to be played in Kenema, Bo and Makeni Cities in July 2020.

Chris Kamara made this announcement during the Official Launch of the artificial turf project for the Kenema City Field.

Sierra Leone is the host of the ongoing WAFU Zone A Female Tournament playing in Bo and Makeni Cities. CAF are satisfied with the leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and its capabilities to host the tournament.

Meanwhile, FIFA have also approved $ 2M for the construction of a Female Football Academy in Freetown Sierra Leone. This project will promote the growth of female football in the country, courtesy of the leadership of the current SLFA President Madam Isha Johansen, General Secretary Chris Kamara and the Executive Committee of the FA.
