A cross section of dynamic African football administrators at Fifa and CAF celebrate Africa’s historic representation in the semifinals of the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022, following Morocco’s victory against Portugal in the quarter finals on Saturday.

Morocco made history by becoming the first African country to qualify for the Fifa World Cup semifinals, after stunning performances from the Group stage, and eliminated top nations in the knockout stages, Spain and Portugal, in the round of 16 and in the quarterfinals, respectively. Making them the only African representative in the tournament.

Africa’s global football leaders joined the wild global celebrations of Morocco and Africa’s success in the world cup. Spotted celebrating, were Patrice Motsepe – CAF President, Isha Johansen – Former SLFA President and current Fifa Council Member, Fatma Samoura – Fifa General Secretary, Amaju Pinnick – Former NFF President and current Fifa Council Member, and Gianni Infantino – Fifa President.
